From the project's inception in 2006 through October 2010 when we profitably sold our equity stake to private equity investors, Laidlaw Energy was the developer of a 75 megawatt biomass-energy power plant located in Berlin, NH.  This project involves the conversion of a former pulp and paper mill into one of the largest biomass-energy power plants in North America.

Laidlaw Energy's business objective is to build and manage a profitable portfolio of renewable energy facilities through development, acquisition, conversion of existing facilities, and though partnering with manufacturing businesses that have significant energy needs. In so doing, Laidlaw Energy intends to become the leading provider of biomass power in the U.S.
